Oh the north wind doth blow and we shall have snow,
And what will the robin do then, poor thing?
She’ll fly to the barn to keep herself warm
And hide her head under her wing, poor thing.
Oh the north wind doth blow and we shall have snow
And what will the sparrow do then, poor thing?
She’ll hide in the hay and there she will stay
The whole winter snuggling in, poor thing.

Brushing up on your Mother Goose? (OK, I had to Google it.) We had a great snow day here, too.
ReplyDeleteMy mother used to deliver her theatrical version of this poem when it got cold. Some things seem to stick in your mind, and this was one of them.
